So, I have been very, very delinquent here on P&B&B&B&C&C. This year has been very busy with the store, and this blog has fallen by the wayside. Every night, I think about the fact that I haven’t posted, and every night I fall asleep before I post. I am sad that the blog book this year is going to be so thin. 🙁
But before things get totally away from me, I thought I’d do a little catchup on the year for each kid. I’ll post some highlights and some pics, and then once that’s out of the way, maybe I can resume posting more regularly and it won’t feeel so daunting to post on a more regular basis.
So let’s start with A.
A has had a LOT of life changes this year!
She graduated from USC in May. It was a fantastic graduation. She was the flag bearer in the huge USC graduation because she was the valedictorian of the School of Dramatic Arts. We all went out to LA to celebrate with her.

After graduation, A spent a few weeks at home and then started working at Dreamworks as an intern in the casting department. She did such a great job that they asked her back permanently in the fall! She is now working back in that same department but as a permanent employee. This all happened even earlier than she hoped it might happen, so it’s a great sign of how much they value her.
In August, A moved out of her house near USC and into an apartment in Mid-City, off Wilshire, where she lives with her friend Tiffany. It is a lovely 2B2BR apartment with a pool and a balcony. It’s well-located and safe and has indoor parking and she has decorated it nicely. Dad flew out in August and helped her move out and collect some furniture from Facebook Marketplace.

This isn’t a great pic but at least it shows her living room.
It’s a good thing that the apartment has covered parking, because A is now the proud owner of a 2024 Hyundai Kona! It’s a great car, very safe, and also sporty and orange (yes, A has an orange car!). We bought it over Labor Day weekend and she has been slowly getting used to highway driving.
A has had to contend with some illness this year too. She had a bad sinus infection when we were in Amangiri (more on that in another post) which kept her from a lot of activities. She also just had her third kidney stone, requiring another ER visit. She passed the stone over this past weekend, so she’s no longer uncomfortable, but what an unpleasant experience.
A was also in some short films in the spring, including one called Nuns With Guns, which has been on the festival circuit.
She also did some fun traveling this summer, to Ibiza to see Delphi, to DC to see us and to the Lake House at the end of the summer.
We are enormously proud of A, her college career and success, the fact that she got a job (!) with a regular salary and benefits (!!) and lives in an apartment that she found herself. She is enjoying LA and seems to have social plans every night. What a solid start to her adult life. I have a thousand other photos but this program makes it so hard to upload them.

Better late than never, better something than nothing. I will get back on track!
