Yesterday was M&A's birthday! I think they had a great day.

They woke up to breakfast in bed (though M had actually been up for 30 minutes). They had requested donuts.

Then they got a ride to school.

Then they had school, which sounded OK. M's lunch table brought her brownies. They got a gazillion happy birthday messages on social media all day long.

After school, A had some friends over here. They hung out in the backyard and had some snacks. M went to travel soccer tryouts at 4:30. They went fine – it looks like only she and Erin are trying out for goalie this year and there will be 2 15U teams so the odds are (ever) in her favor.

After soccer tryouts we headed home and met Daddy, A and N and went out to dinner at Sfoglina. The girls liked the restaurant a lot and the pasta was very good. We returned home and had cake – one chocolate, homemade by Daddy, and one vanilla, made by Giant – with Grandma Sandy. Then it was time for presents! Lots of good stuff and sweet presents from family. 

It was a long and very good day!
