Early this AM, we all scattered like the winds. Daddy took an early train to NY, where he spent the day for a lunch for Helene Reddell which he said went very well. M went to spend the day managing the ADMUN conference for 6th graders. She said it was "fine". A went to rehearsal and then to Mia's house for the afternoon. And N and I went on Adventures with Mommy. We first went to his 8 AM (ouch!) soccer game, which he played in frigid temps and flurries. His team won! 5-4.
Then we went down to The Building Museum so that I could pick up Daddy's and my numbers for the Cherry Blossom 10-miler tomorrow, which is going to be sooo cold. We poked around the Expo a bit and went to the museum store, which is my favorite Smithsonian museum store (is that museum part of the Smithsonian?). Then we killed an hour eating breakfast at the Chinatown Panera so that we could get to the Portrait Museum when it opened at 11:30. We explored a fair bit of the museum, but of course the main draw was the new Obama portraits, which are even better in person:
Then we came home and watched the Nats lose (again!) and picked up M at Model UN. Then we went to pick up A, stopped at FedEx to print out some stuff for M's National History Day presentation this week, then broke Passover at Pete's Pizza. We returned home, Daddy came home a bit later, and we're all pooped tonight from a long day.
M and I were talking about how nice the guy at FedEx was (he worked with us through a number of paper options, he reprinted something that didn't come out perfectly, he gave me 25% off for no reason, and he gave the bathroom key to a homeless woman). We were asked to fill out a survey and we said that we would, then talked about how helpful he had been. N said, "Was he so nice to me? No." Ha!
Early race tomorrow!
