We arrived safely at Ron Dee Vous tonight after a 6 1/2 hour drive and a quick stop for dinner at Exit 100 – the diner that A hates. On the way up, we listened to the Nats season opener (we won!), listened to an audiobook of an A to Z mystery, and N started to watch Annie. He said he was going to hate it, then he decided he liked it, and then he switched to hating it, mostly because it was accidentally on 2x forward for a few minutes and then he had to contend with a random Ann Reinking dance scene, which confused him because he had no idea who she was. Here's the scene that did in the movie for N:
Not a surprise.
At the diner, I told N we could try the claw game once. Someone had left 50 cents in the machine so I said we could try it twice. We came close the second time, so I offered to pay for one more time, and N said, "No, that's OK – I am supposed to go color at the table."
Also on the way up, we heard the song "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" by the Clash. Daddy told N the title of the song, and without missing a beat, N said, "What did he decide to do?"
The girls are at a beautiful hotel in Costa Rica and have sent us some pics. They went white water rafting today, but didn't have water shoes (our bad!) and wore their Adidas, which are apparently now ruined.
And here is a funny collage photo M made of N, based on the march last weekend:
We are looking forward to a nice seder tomorrow with Grandma and Grandpa and D/J/S/E.
