Wow, what a weekend it was.
First, it was Daddy's birthday party! It was a bug success. Everyone had a lot of fun and several people stayed past the end. The girls looked beautiful and talked to a lot of people, and Grandma Dina and Aunt Darrah came down from NY to attend. Daddy had a great time, which was the best part. We didn't take a lot of pictures, but here are a few:
The DJ was great and much to M&A's great embarrassment, we danced quite a bit too.
This weekend was also M's soccer tournament. The games had mixed results: a heartbreaking loss Saturday AM 4-3, a win Saturday afternoon 1-0, and a loss this morning 2-0. M played great though, especially today. We're so proud of her. This is the end of the fall season. We get a month or so off and then practices resume in frigid January. Thank you SO much to Grampy who drove M out to her game on Saturday afternoon, watched the game, drove her back, got her dinner, took her to his house to change and then brought her to the party. Very much appreciated, given all we had going on yesterday.
N had a busy weekend too: accompanying Daddy on errands and pickups yesterday and going to M's game, Sunday School and Dax's birthday party today plus a haircut. We watched a movie this afternoon – Cars – which he found alternatively boring and scary, and then switched to Paddington, which he found scary and upsetting despite having seen it before. Thanks to A, who came downstairs and comforted him and watched the rest of the movie with him reassuring him about what was happening and what was to come.
A had rehearsal yesterday and will have it for the next 2 weeks. She remains very unenthusiastic about the play though!
Interviews tomorrow, tour on Tuesday – the private school search continues.
Also, I forgot that the girls and I saw Legally Blonde at Wilson on Friday night. It was really good and A got to see some of her Hairspray peeps. And Daddy took N to a Kindergarten Shabbat on Friday night which they both really enjoyed.
