I haven't posted in a few days and A LOT happened. It has been late nights and early mornings and I just couldn't get to the blog.
Parent potluck. We had a successful potluck dinner here on Thursday night. 31 parents came plus Ms. Abraham and Mr. Marcie. N was SO excited to have them here. He welcomed everyone, asked if they wanted to take their shoes off, helped pass out the name tags that Ms. A made, and was generally so engaging and sweet that almost every parent commented on what a great host he was. The party went late and the last people to leave were the teachers! N got to show both of them his bedroom and even got a goodnight hug from Mr. Marcie.
MCPOM sale. M and I volunteered at the MCPOM sale. We always have fun doing that together. She was my detagger and did a great job as always. Best all, we were able to buy all the stuff N had spied the night before when we went to drop off the stuff we were selling. He wanted, and got: play castle, a golf club set, a crane (that isn't working too well) and some Meet the Sight Words DVDs. I also got him lots of clothes and some other stuff.
Fall Festival. Saturday was the Fall Festival at Lafayette. It was a lot of fun. Daddy hung out with N for the first half and M and I hung out with him for the second half. He did some rides and had ice cream and popcorn.
Erin's Bat Mitzvah. Last night we went to Erin's bat mitzvah party at ZavaZone. It was late for N but we had fun and the kids did a fair amount of bouncing.
Sports games. N had soccer yesterday – he scored (!) and the team won 15-4. A had tennis yesterday and today. And M had a game today in Falls Church. Grampy came to cheer her on.
Also Picture Day on Friday. Daddy put gel in his hair and got rid of his cowlick:
Finally, here is a sweet card that Daddy got from N's class for coming and talking to them about being a diplomat for Career Day.
