Today M was kicked in the face when she was down on the ground covering a ball during her soccer game. She has a huge bruise over her right eye. This all happened right before the end of the first half. She was in pain and could see the huge bruise and so she came out of the game in tears. We got ice on it right away and then we left and went home with Grandma and N, who were there too. Grandma stayed home with N and A (who had just come home from a group tennis lesson) and I took M to the ER at Sibley. She was checked out and they determined no concussion or signs of internal bleeding. She was very stoic and such a good sport about everything. Tonight everyone will be sleeping in my bed so I can check on M through the night and so A won't feel alone. Daddy is en route to Amsterdam so we'll keep him posted. Also – she had been playing a great game until she got hurt – 0-0.

N had his first Sunday School today and his teacher is Kathryn from pre-school! They were so happy to see each other. We're thrilled that they are back together.

A had a good group lesson today. She prefers Michael as an instructor.

Hoping for a less dramatic day tomorrow.
