Tonight didn't quite go as planned. N has been wanting to go to a Nats game for a while. I decided I'd take him tonight. We watched the rain report all day and when it was a 50/50 chance of rain. We found super-cheap tix on CL and went downtown with Chris and Laurie. Just as we were getting close to the stadium, the game was delayed due to rain. The Murphys went to get dinner and N and I decided to go home. He was very sad about the game, but I explained that the game wouldn't be on until late (if at all) and that we should go home. We took metro home and N was a little anxious, particularly in a deserted Capitol Hill station, but all went fine and Daddy picked us up at the Metro. So N didn't get to see his Nats game, ending what he called "a boring day" with even more disappointment.
Imagine how much worse he'll feel tomorrow when I wake him up tomorrow and tell him that Bryce Harper is likely out for the season? UGH. #anyonebutbryce
N DID help me this afternoon with some furniture assembly in the basement. So that's not all bad. And Daddy took him for a great haircut today.
BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT I WILL SEE THE GIRLS IN LESS THAN 12 HOURS! Can't wait.
