And here is an update we got from camp yesterday via email:

Friday was a full day of activities.  However, like much of Maryland, we had quite a bit of rain!  But that doesn’t mean the fun stops – it just changes location!  We moved to rainy day locations, and the girls continued with our awesome activities, just under cover!  Soon, it was time to change into our whites to come together for Shabbat!  Instead of meeting in Solarium, we met in the dining hall!  Alicia honored several campers who exemplified the middah of the week, courage, including several Senior Camp girls!  I am always so proud when I see our Senior Campers up there with Alicia.  Since it was still raining, we rearranged our schedule a bit, and went to the gym for folkdancing, took a break to go back to the dining hall for song session, and then back to the gym for more folkdancing!  Afterwards, the girls got a snack at Oneg before heading back to their bunks for the night.
Saturday was a bit rainy in the morning, so our Shabbat services were in the Social Hall.  Despite changing location, you could still feel the spirituality as we came together to worship as a community.  After lunch, we had special Shabbat programming.  All of camp moved through three rotations.  One rotation was Louise Lends a hand, were the girls prepared food to be donated to Paul’s Place, a local shelter that provides meals to people who are in need.  The second rotation was led by our Shlichot, our Israeli counselors, where the girls learned about people who are supporting the special needs community in Israel.  The girls made cards to send to the children being served in this village.  And the last rotation was run by our Cornerstone fellows, where the girls were tasked with creating their own non-profit organizations, and thinking about ways to give to others.  It was a really meaningful day full of learning about giving back. Our evening activity was our camper talent show, and I have to say, we have a lot of talented Senior Camp girls!  We ended our day with Havdallah and our weekly slide show of pictures, showcasing the awesome week we have had!
And today was a full day of regular activities.  Senior camp girls could be found on the ropes course, swimming, gymnastics, farming, music, cookery, workshops, and copper enameling, just to name a few activities!  Our evening activity was unit night, and each unit had a blast!  Unit D did a color run, Unit E did a Space Jam themed basketball night, and Unit F did a lip-sync battle.  Everyone had so much fun!

Hopefully there will be some letters when I get home! I sent off a package today: the windsock chair thing, some cool Hamilton-themed crayons, a letter from N, and some cootie catchers and puzzles.

OK, time to go home!
