Cape Cod Thursday

Tomorrow is our last day here at the Cape! So sad. It has been a great vacation here and we love it.

Catching up…

Yesterday we went back to Craigville Beach and hung out there for a few hours. The girls went on the boogie boards we found in the garage and N mostly made castles, played in sand, and stalked the family next to us and the ice cream truck. Weather was a little overcast but warm and it turned out to be a good beach day.

We headed out around 5:30 and went to Chatham, a very cute town that none of us had been to before. It's super preppy but pretty and well-kept. It's amazing how different the towns on the Cape are. We had dinner at a low-key but $$$ place like everywhere on the Cape is, and then got ice cream and drove home (about 30 minutes from here).

Today we hit the road and drove up to Wellfleet, stopping along the way at the Sesuit Harbor Cafe – another super casual and surprisingly expensive restaurant. Wellfleet is arty and low-key with a Northern California vibe. We walked around there, down to the harbor and back up to the main street. It was a most-of-the-day activity, and we returned here before dinner and had an eat-what's-left-in-the-house dinner.

Tonight we're playing games and trying not to sing the "Here Come The ABCs" songs out loud that are stuck in our heads.

So many fun memories from this trip. We all love the Craigville Beach penny candy store and the outdoor shower. And we love the Windmill house.

Tomorrow we're going to see a friend of Daddy's who lives in a fancy house in Falmouth. Should be fun.
