Brewster

Today the kids and I explored Brewster (Daddy was in DC for the day). It rained in the AM but cleared up by around 2.

We started out here in Hyannis and went to the Cape Cod Potato Chip factory for a self-guided tour. It was fun and we enjoyed seeing how the potatoes turn into those crispy treats in the little bags.

After the factory we got back in the car and drove out to Brewster. We hit a lot of fun things there:

  • Lunch at Cobie's outside
  • A walk on the Rail Trail
  • An amazing bookstore – TONS of kids' books
  • The Brewster General Store

Then we went back to Hyannis and played mini golf near here. We had the whole course to ourselves most of the time. Some of the holes were a little wet but we powered through.

Tonight we watched the All-Star Game. NL lost. Again.

One funny thing. N has a new saying: when he says something that we are surprised that he knew, he goes, "Natey just knows" in a funny sing-songy voice. He is doing much better at mini golf, holding his club the right way and usually pointing his feet in the right direction.

Daddy is home! He took a train and a bus and arrived in Hyannis at 11.
