Cape Cod I

We are in full swing in our Cape Cod vacation. We had a slightly harrowing ride yesterday through some bad rain and some serious carsickness for poor N. We arrived around 8 to our gorgeous Windmill house in Barnstable. We all fell in love with the house immediately. After a quick unloading of the car, we headed out for a late dinner at a local pizza/Mexican restaurant. It was a late night but a happy one. We love it here.

Today, we got a late start. Grocery shopping this morning, and then a very late breakfast. We headed over to the cove across the street and waded through shallow water to the little beach on the other side. We took a large raft from the garage to carry all of our towels and the little boy, who didn't want to put his foot in the water at the beach. He did a little castle-building and A played with the hermit crabs we saw along the beach. It was beautiful today.

Back to the house and the outdoor shower, and then a short rest and we headed out to Yarmouth/Dennis for dinner. It took a little while to settle on a restaurant, but we ended up at an Italian restaurant in Dennis near the beach. Then it was off to mini golf at one of the largest courses in Cape Cod, with a pirate theme. The game was long and spirits flagged a bit by the end, but N really got the hang of it for the first time.

It's late here so this is a quick post and a few pics.
