N had a busy 5th birthday. He was woken up with breakfast in bed – pancakes shaped like a 5 made by Daddy – and singing by the whole family. Then he went to school, where he had cupcakes in his classroom at 11. After school, he went to the playground, and then he came home and we had Z burger for dinner here with Nana. He opened presents and then we had cake, which birthday buddy Grandma Sandy walked in just in time for! Lots of calls from family capped off the day. We talked about things that will happen during his 5th year – he'll learn to read, he'll lose some teeth, he won't use a pullup at night, he'll stop sucking his thumb (!).
We love you N! You are the best little boy in the world.
And today was also the celebration of M&A's National Junior Honor Society induction! There was a short ceremony at the school this afternoon. We are very proud of them. I don't have a good photo to share but I'll get one from Daddy for tomorrow.
What a day to be a parent to these three!!
