It has been a few days since I posted. I was out of town for work for 2 nights, and I got sick while I was away, and I'm just catching up now.
Daddy covered parent-teacher conferences for all three kids on Friday. At N's, we learned that his fine motor skills have really improved, that he is an "old soul" and "different in a good way" because he's so polite and mature, that girls LOVE him but he is equally comfortable with boys, and that is a sweet boy who his teachers love. The girls had very good conferences too – they are diligent and polite and work hard and do very well. Daddy and I are very proud of all of them! Thanks Daddy for covering conferences when I couldn't make it.
Things are heating up here. Both girls are working on their speeches. Less than 4 weeks to go – UGH. I am working on the montage and am only through 2013. And I have WAY too many photos. It's going to be a long montage.
A is performing in the Seber Method Academy concert a week from Friday. We are excited to see it but it will be a relief for her when it's done because it is taking a lot of time. She had a 4 hour rehearsal on Saturday.
M spent an hour today working on goalie training with the son of Homesnap's founder. He's a 9th grader and is VERY good at being a goalie. He gave her a lot of good pointers.
M went to Dupont Circle on Friday with her friend ViVi, and they visited an ice cream store that she has wanted to go for a long time. She was very happy. Daddy gave her a ride downtown and then she went with him to conferences.
M volunteered with me yesterday at the MCPOM consignment sale. We had a great time. She was my detagger and she was extremely helpful. It was an early morning – I woke her at 6:10AM and we were there until 12:30. We also picked up good stuff for N.
Today M&A went to a birthday party at Pinstripes for their friend Maria.
Busy weekend, lots happening and lots on the horizon!
Here is a drawing that N made of him, in bed, dreaming about his family.
