It has been a weekend of celebrating.
Last night, we celebrated the first night of Hanukah at Grandma Sandy’s with her and Stu and some of her friends. We had a lovely dinner there and lit candles for the first night. The girls played the piano and we had – of course – a lively political discussion around the table.
Today was Christmas and we spent most of the day at home preparing for our trip to NC tomorrow. We are bringing all of the presents that haven’t been opened, plus the usual stuff we bring on vacation. I am not sure how it is all going to fit in the car.
Then we had Christmas dinner at Nana and Grampy’s, which was great, as usual. Lots of fun and yummy food.
Presents so far:
N has gotten 2 pillows from M (a pillow pet dog and a poop emoticon pillow), a big bunch of DVDs (more on the way!), a balloon dog nightlight, a TON of books picked out by Grampy, 2 Lego kits, Lincoln Logs from Grandma and some coloring books and crayons.
A has gotten some clothes, a Nats t-shirt, a star thing that she picked out at Michael’s, a contour kit (makeup), some Vineyard Vines shirts, a Soduku book and a purse.
M has gotten an M that she picked out at Michael’s, some donut pans and an icing spreader, a graphing calculator, some Vineyard Vines shirts, a word search book and a purse. Oh and a ceramic trivet thing that also shows measure conversions for cooking.
Daddy has gotten a tie, some boxers and a baseball glove to play with M.
I have gotten 3 (!) booklights, a calendar, and a Lululemon vest. And Tuvana sent me 2 crossword puzzles that I am looking forward to doing in NC.
And M&A together got a really cool electric jellyfish nightlight thing. We’ll take some video of it.
Here is a cute video of N from tonight:
