Lots of things happened today.
M woke up early today and babysat next door for Bella and Livia while her parents were at conferences at Deal.
Then we all got ready and went to N's conference at Lafayette. While we were there, M&A finally got to see the new Lafayette! It was so weird for them because the school looks so different. They tried to see some of their old teachers but everyone was in conferences. But it was so cute to see N showing the girls around HIS school.
After conference at Lafayette we had to go to CMG for shots. That was not pleasant. A was very anxious about her two shots and N was completely freaking out about his flu shot. It turns out that the HPV vaccine is painful and leaves VERY sore arms. The girls have had very sore arms all day and have had a hard time using their arms.
We then had conferences at Deal, which the girls came to as well. That was helpful because they showed us where to go.
After conferences I took the girls to Silver Spring for lunch and shopping, which improved the day a bit. The girls got some cute fall clothes at H&M.
Then it was off to Gaithersburg to drop A off at a birthday party at SkyZone. She went out there with her friend Zelia and is en route to Zelia's for a sleepover now. Sadly, A couldn't really enjoy the party because she was too sore to bounce. It was sad leaving her out there because she wasn't very happy to be there, but things improved over the course of the party.
Here is a pic of the party:
Meanwhile, Daddy and I are so proud of the kids. Their conferences went so well. N's teacher says he is so sweet, and asks great questions, and follows the rules. Quotes: "nice boy", "good manners", " follows directions", "asks questions", "wonderful kid", asks "really mature questions".
He needs to work on fine motor skills: holding pencil, cutting, tracing, coloring, tracing and gluing.
And quotes about the girls from their teachers: "takes a lot of initiative", "asks good questions", "wonderful girls", "responsible", "work hard", "care about learning", "good sense of humor", "care about their work". It was all positive and such a pleasure to hear. Great work, girls! We are so proud of you.
