No More Fever

It is the end of a very long week and weekend. Happily, N is now going on 36 hours+ fever free. No meds since yesterday morning. I think that means he is going to school tomorrow – yippee!

N and I picked up the girls in Arnold, MD today at 9AM. They were very tired but had a really good time at Lulu's bat mitzvah. It was so cute to see the girls together again, though we were in a big rush to get M&A back home so they could work at Auggie's birthday party. They did face painting and helped with the kids.

M had a 2-hour softball game at 3 and A had a 1-hour soccer practice at 3, which meant a lot of driving back and forth between practice and game. Even N started complaining about all the driving we had to do this weekend. Amen, brother.

It's another short week this week – no school on Friday because it's the end of the marking period. No school next Friday either because of conferences. Sigh.

N is in an annoying phase where (in between telling me he loves me and wanting to be next to me), he tells me he doesn't like me, I am mean, and I am a bad mother. Sometimes this is accompanied by hitting me. Fun! I've spent a lot of time with him this weekend and it has gotten a little wearying. I know that some of the times it's because he is upset that I am leaving or doing something that distracts me from him, but other times it is not triggered by him being sad about something. We had a few talks about it this weekend but it hasn't helped.

This too shall pass.
