Some highlights from the last few days:
Nate and I went to the Caps game on Thursday night. We took the metro down, had dinner near Capital One Arena, and then stayed for two periods of hte game. For some reason, we were both exhausted! But we had fun, even thought the Caps lost. It was dog night there, meaning that they honored service dogs and had adoptable pups on display between periods. That was fun. And we learned more about hockey!
Last night the Bais came for our usual Friday night dinner. We played Clue and I almost won, and would have, probably, if Ellen hadn't screwed up and not played correctly. Dad won, as usual. And N lost a tooth in the middle of the night. The best part of the night was Dan and Matt speaking in random accents.
Dan and I went to a bar mitzvah this AM. We told N he could stay home or come with us, and he said he'd come with us because he never stays home along. But then he took one look at the collared shirt I took out for him and he decided to stay home! This was a huge thing. He was home for about 2 1/2 hours by himself. I think he thinks he made the right decision.
N and I volunteered to help unpack boxes for the book fair at his school this week. It was fun! After school we helped set up books for the fair, which opens Monday. We also got to shop early. 🙂 N got a Nats poster, a book about chess, a TikTok cookbook and some slime thing.
We just turned off Tar, the movie, after 30 minutes. Zzzzzz.
