A False Start

N went back to school today and clearly wasn't ready yet. He was fine when he left for school but I got a call from the nurse at 1:30 that he was in her office with a fever. Poor boy. Nana went to pick him up and he was home for the rest of the day. I guess no school for him again tomorrow. He has missed so much this month! It makes me sad because he loves what he is learning.

Nana said he was so eager for the girls to get home.

Tonight, Imogene was peeling a mango with a carrot peeler, and N wanted to do it. She said, no, Nate, it's only for adults to use. He said, "What about sisters? Can they use it?"

It has been a slog of a week in terms of homework. The girls have a fun weekend ahead, though. One of their Camp Louise friends is having a bat mitzvah in Maryland about an hour away. They are going to sleep over there Saturday night and will have lots of time with their friends. The family of the girl getting bat mitzvahed (Lulu) is being incredibly generous about having camp friends there during what is already a very busy weekend for them,

So. Ready. For. Friday.
