2 good things about today:

1) When I got home from work and asked N how school was, he said, "Great!" I can't really get a sense of what he did today or why it was great, but that was good to hear. This morning, he wanted me to stay until he went up the stairs with his class, which I did. He waved at me about 20 times to make sure I was still there. We also blew some kisses to each other.

2) The girls have been upstairs at their desks for the last 1 hour 45 minutes doing their homework. They haven't asked for help. This is great!

Now we just need the Nats to close down this game – bottom of the 9th, up by 1. 

PS Our meeting this morning to get A moved out of her Spanish class wasn't successful, but the school is on notice about our concerns and we've laid the groundwork. As Grampy would say, "We have them right where we want them."
