So yesterday was conference day at Deal. Daddy and I met with the girls' 4 main teachers, as well as M's art teacher. There was a theme – the girls are doing great, they work very hard, they are at the top of their class, they are getting As, they participate and help their classmates. We can't complain at all. Their teachers really like them and they've had a very successful year. Daddy and I got some of our questions answered and it was overall a positive day!
Here is some of M's artwork:
I went to the Nats game last night with Grampy. It was his birthday present – the first home game against the Mets. It was not the best game – rain-delayed, damp, and a loss. (But they made up for it with a curly W tonight.) We had a good time together, though, and that is what matters!
Then today was N's class party. It was SO cute. We all went to the tennis courts near Carter Barron, and they started a campfire and set the tables and decorated the area with the kids' party banners and signs. The kids made s'mores with HUGE marshmallows, and hit a pinata, and played on the jungle gym, and decorated goody bags, and drew on a huge banner, and had birthday cake for Sarah, and generally had a great time.
In the middle of it, N looked at me and said, "I was so excited for this day."
It was really the cutest thing ever.
