Well, this has been a weekend of ups and downs. The girls are home from their Ellis Island trip. We are all glad to have them back. M had a good time, and A did not have a good time, though she made some new friends whom she likes a lot and said the food was good. The sleeping accommodations at the synagogue were uncomfortable and cold. Overall, sounds like a mixed bag, but we are glad that they went and hope that they will look back and remember some of what they saw (even if they had seen it before).
N had a good day of soccer today, compared to last week when he wouldn't play at all. He played goalie a few times and was better about kicking the ball. He did take great offense twice: once when a little boy playing goalie blocked his shot and kicked the ball right back at him (I had to explain that that's what the goalie was supposed to do); and again when a little girl took a shot on goal while N was goalie and had the NERVE to use N's soccer ball (I had to explain that all of the kids were using all of the balls). Progress, but still a long way to go.
Daddy took N to RCP today to throw bread into the creek for the fish. I met up with them at the end of a run. N *loves* RCP – it's really cute. We should take him there more. He also rode his scooter in the park and when we went to pick up M&A at TSNS tonight.
We have a busy week this week – ballet, dance, BBB rehearsal, Chug Ivrit, piano, emergency ortho visit tomorrow AM to get M's braces fixed (something broke off), and an early departure Friday for PA for Passover. Lots going on.
