So, the girls are on the Ellis Island trip. They made it off the waitlist – M on Wednesday and A on Friday – and they are on the trip. A was particularly unenthusiastic about it, but we are hoping that she had a good time. We've gotten some texts even though thrugh they are not supposed to be on their phones at all, and they called briefly tonight.

Today, after we dropped off the girls at TS, N and I went to Trader Joe's and then to Carter's birthday at Lafayette Park. He had a great time. He ran around with Miles a ton and was all over the playground.

We came home and both of us crashed, enjoying some badly needed naps.

Then we went outside and drew letters and numbers on the sidewalk. Every time I wrote a letter, N sang the whole alphabet song so I would know what to write next.

Then Daddy came home from his trip and we went to a lovely pizza dinner at Nana and Grampy's.

It has been a mellow and fun day overall, but we miss the girls and can't wait for them to come home.
