Tonight we went to an open house for parents at Silver Creek Middle School. It was pretty impressive. We will see what happens with N's applications and then make decisions. If he does go to SCMS, he is going to take Spanish and instrumental band, most likely.

Hobart went to the vet this AM for a checkup. Here is the report from the vet, who Hobart definitely did not enjoy:

Thank you for bringing Hobart in to the hospital this morning for his annual wellness visit and physical exam. It was great to see you all today! Hobart did very well for his exam this morning. He looks great and he was an excellent patient today.

Hobart received his rabies and distemper/parvo vaccines today (both good for three years), along with his bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine. We are planning to have him come back for an appointment with one of our vet assistants on 2/2/23 for his leptospirosis vaccine and the first or two vaccines to protect him from canine influenza.

Our only concerns today on Hobart's exam were that he has gained a bit too much weight and he has some tartar on his upper teeth. Please try to brush his teeth daily or every other day if possible, and cut back on his daily caloric intake. Hobart was a bit nervous again today, and therefore we are sending home an anti-anxiety medication for you to try giving to him at home before his future visits and other stressful events.

 Will definitely keep that in mind for "other stressful events".
