Seber and Sing

Today I was Shabbat Parent in N's class. I read the book Home, which the kids seemed to like. N passed out cookies to everyone and seemed very excited that I was there. His class is so sweet. Very calm, sweet kids. N is the tallest kid in his class. He plays nicely with everyone but was particularly chummy today with Miles and Carter. He was not happy when his classmate Leyla took my hand going up the stairs to Shabbat Sing and again when we were coming down. He kept trying to block my way so I couldn't walk, and then made me pick him up. Very territorial! Meanwhile, he wouldn't sit in my lap for Sing because he was on Kornelia's lap and didn't want to leave.

Tonight we were doing a puzzle, and I turned and said "Now we have to figure out where the J piece goes" and he said, "That's a job for Nate." He has said so many other funny things today and now I can't remember any of them!

A has started classes at Seber Academy. When I went to pick her up yesterday, she said "I like ballet! I actually like it!" She seems to be really enjoying it so far. The classes are hard but she likes the atmosphere there and the approach that Ms. Lilla takes. She danced for 2 hours yesterday and 3 1/2 today. The question is whether she sticks with the modern dance class on Fridays because it is apparently really hard.

The kids have a three-day weekend. Yay! We have Julius' bar mitzvah tomorrow night.
