Today was a day of performances. M had her second-to-last show this afternoon, and Daddy came and got her from home and then attended the show. Other than some disappointment over what she got from her Secret Santa (which turned out to be nice stuff from Crabtree & Evelyn), M seemed to have had a good show. Then tonight, Daddy, M, A and I went to see Kiss Me, Kate at the Shakespeare Theater. Daddy and I liked it (though we found it a little dated), and the girls enjoyed it but didn't love it, and found parts of it inappropriate. (They had a point.)
Also, I didn't provide much detail about N's half-birthday celebration at school. Daddy was the Shabbat Parent, and he brought in the cupcakes and baby photos of N, as well as 3 books that N picked out which Daddy read to the class: Goodnight Seattle, Goodnight Washington DC and Goodnight New York City. Daddy read all of those books and then attended the Shabbat Sing as Shabbat Parent after the half-birthday celebration with the cupcakes. He also took the photos I uploaded yesterday. N had a great time and was very happy Daddy was there.
Today was my last day of work for 10 days! Yippee! Looking forward to lots of time with the kids at home and in FL next week with the family. Should be really fun and hopefully warm! Tomorrow we're getting FluMist in the morning – N has been practicing his snorting – and in the evening we're going to the Kohn/Murphys for Chinese food and maybe some Christmas movies.
It has been a good holiday so far!
