This morning presented some daunting logistics:
M had a softball game in GERMANTOWN from 9-11.
A had a soccer game in Shepherd Park from 10-11.
Both girls needed to be at ballet at 11:45.
And N had a birthday party in the 'hood that started at 10:30.
Thankfully, Grandma Dina and Grandpa Ron were here and came to our rescue. They took N to the birthday party, and Daddy took A to her soccer game, and I took M to softball. Everyone made it to ballet on time and Daddy and I both went to the birthday party too.
This afternoon, the girls and Daddy and Ron and Dina went out for Yogiberry before Ron and Dina left to go back to NJ.
This evening, N and Lucky and I went to Rock Creek Park. As we were driving down Military, N said, "I love this place!" How cute is that?? He loved the trees. Then we went for an 75 MINUTE long walk. We went to the creek, where N threw rocks into the water, and then walked along the path on the other side of the creek. We had the best time! N walked the whole time – never asked to be carried – and he loved it. The weather was gorgeous and there was so much to look at. We saw a duck, and some other dogs, and a caterpillar and a lot of ants. I feel so bad that this was the first time we've done this! We both agreed that we want to go back soon.
Girls are home from the performance and The Amazing Race may be on the schedule for the night.
Nats won 8-6 after a walk-off homer by Bryce Harper. YAY!
