Today was a looooooong day!
The girls had a dress rehearsal for Alice, and then the preview night show at the Kennedy Center. We headed down at 12 for their 12:30 show, and then I picked them up at 4:30. We had dinner there, and then it was time to go back for the evening show. All went well, except that M fell right before she was supposed to go on stage and hurt her wrist. She seems to be OK tonight, but she's icing it a lot and wearing an ace bandage to help keep it stable. She was quite unhappy during the show but she's better now.
Here are some pics:

How cute are those piglets?
Grandma Sandy came to see the show tonight too and took some pictures with the girls beforehand.
Meanwhile, the girls are turning 11 tomorrow!!! Here is their cake, which Daddy made and frosted tonight (yes, Daddy is back!):
And finally, a cute N story. I asked him this afternoon for a smooch before I left to go get the girls at the rehearsal. He said, "I am going to the playground. I don't have time for a mooch. I'll give you a mooch later."
Whew. Long day. Long day tomorrow too. Oh, here are the girls' presents from us:
– a Chromebook laptop (!)
– the blog book for 2015
– 4 Nats tickets to 2 games, one in June and one in August
– a purple and an orange water bottle so that they each have their own
– a book that M wanted
– orange headphones that M wanted
-the poster from Alice, which they can get signed
-2 ballet-related t-shirts that M asked for
Not a bad haul. I can't wait for them to open the laptop especially.
