Sadly, we had to leave Vancouver today. What a gorgeous city! It is so easy to get around, and everything is clean and the people are polite. We had a great time there. Today, we hung around the room and got packed up and ready to go. Then we went to dim sum in a restaurant a bit off the beaten path. The girls ate a ton, N not so much.

After lunch, we left and headed south. We took a detour to see Deception Pass, which has two beautiful suspension bridges connecting Washington State to Whidbey Island. GORGEOUS. We then wound our way down Whidbey Island and took a ferry at the bottom back to mainland Washington. The ferry was very short – about 20 minutes.

Back in Kirkland, we had a great dinner with D&J&B&O. The kids are all having a lot of fun together.

We are sad to leave! Back to DC tomorrow.
