Today we left Seattle and headed north to Vancouver. We took a meandering route off the highway, driving through the famous tulip festival, a very cute town named Fairhaven, and a gorgeous road along the coast up to Bellingham.

It was a little slow getting into Vancouver, but we arrived around 6 and settled into the hotel. We tried to go out for Japanese food, but the restaurant was full, so we did takeout instead and ate here in the room, which has a kitchenette. Poor N, who had had a late night last night and no nap today in the car, was exhausted. Hopefully he will sleep well tonight – it is already 1:41 AM and he has slept through so far.

This is the girls' 9th country, after France, Spain, UK, Curacao, Mexico, Denmark, Russia and Norway.
