We had parent-teacher conferences today and they were great. Here is what their teachers Gregal and Raugitinane said about M&A:
A: Great student, very detailed writing, very conscious of what to put in her writing, likes to make sense, doing great in math, top of her class with scores, a little quiet in class but when she's called on it's clear she understands, gets along with anyone she's with, lots of friends, ahead on ST math, good at explaining her thinking, understands concepts, responsible with her homework, a pleasure to have in class, participates a lot in class (reading), did well on recent standardized math test, will do fine in advanced math at Deal.
M: participates in class, good with her homework, spends a lot of time on her written answers but includes good information, takes pride in her work, at 100% in ST math, scored very high on recent standardized test, a pleasure to have in class, does well with her homework, makes thoughtful contributions in class that try to go deeper, puts effort into everything.
How could you ask for anything better?
More cuteness: M filled out a bio today for her regional spelling bee on Wednesday. Here are some of her answers:
Hobbies and Interests: ballet, softball, the Nationals, reading, piano, gimp
Favorite subjects: spelling, math, science
Awards and Honors: second place in School Spelling Bee, 2015

Person most admired by you and why: Misty Copeland, because she is a great and unexpected ballerina, and Alexa, my twin, because she's the most amazing person in the world.
A sent me this drawing from her Kindle tonight. We are laughing at it – it's very odd. I think it looks like a psychedelic snowman. She titled it "Colors".
