Fireflies!

What a day!

It started with N freaking out when we got to school this AM. He didn't want to go in the classroom. He clung to me and cried and wouldn't let go. His very resourceful teacher distracted him with some questions about paint colors, and soon he was talking to her, feet on the ground, and I could leave. She sent me an email that said that 5 seconds after I left, he was "100% fine" and happily painting:

Then it was off to take Grandma Sandy to the doctor for her third checkup post-surgery. He changed her cast and said that everything looked great. 2 more weeks of the hard cast.

Then it was off to pick up the girls for their dress rehearsal today. They were at the Kennedy Center from 1-4:30. I got this photo from another mom:

How awesome are those costumes?

Then it was time to pick the girls up from rehearsal – back to the Kennedy Center. They came home and had dinner and a little downtime to finish homework.

Then it was BACK to the Kennedy Center – time #3 – for their first Sleepy Hollow show! It was amazing! The girls were beautiful, elegant, energetic fireflies and they did a great job. We are so proud of them. That's show #1 of 7. The whole performance was really cool and we are thrilled that they are part of it.

All of the DC grandparents were at the show tonight and everyone was impressed and proud of the girls.

11:49 PM and we are ALL exhausted.
