We had a lovely Valentine's Day here yesterday.
The girls had ballet in the afternoon but no rehearsal, so they came home at 2. In the morning, N and I went to a puppet show called Winter Wonderland at Glen Echo. We saw a penguin puppet, a few bears, and a few snowmen. N seemed to like it a lot. It was short – thankfully – and then we headed out to run some errands, including bringing Grandma some flowers for Valentine's Day.
Last night the girls went to a birthday party at Lily's, where they watched The Princess Bride, had dinner, and decorated some cakes. Nay-nay stayed home with Nana and Daddy and I went out for jeans shopping, drinks, and dinner. All around it was a great Valentine's Day.
We had Mother-Daughter Book Club today and dinner at the CCC with the Campers. Tomorrow is another day off – Presidents Day – and we have a few things planned. The girls have note cards due for their research reports, so that will take up a lot of the day.
Here are some pics N and I took of him before nap yesterday. He was being very silly.
And these are some really cute Valentines the girls made for Imogene:
