I am home! Yay!
I took an earlier train home but it was delayed by an hour. Annoying. I still made it home before bedtime and got to see N and read to him. Then it was lots of homework. The girls had to write science fiction stories using a number of spelling/vocabulary words. The girls wrote some great stories. A's is a long story about an alien who is a cloned version of the narrator. The alien takes the narrator away on a flying saucer to a place called Candy Land, which sounds pretty awesome. The only downside is that no one on earth knows that the narrator has been abducted.
M's story was about a place where there are Utopians and Dystopians, and also Challengers who are trying to sabotage the Utopians. Everyone is jealous of the Utopians because they are sentient, while the others have only two emotions: jealousy and appreciation.
Both stories were very creative!
Before bed, I told N to pick out a book. I suggested Sammy the Seal, and he said, "Sammy Seal is a GREAT book!"
He is also sleeping with two mini pumpkins in his bed, in addition to a ton of stuffed animals and a squishy dice. I don't know how there is room for him too.
Glad to be home!! Daddy has been on a trip for a few days but he comes home on Saturday.
