While I have been in NY, I've been sending the girls emails on various topics. I just got a slew of responses from them, and I thought I'd share them here because they are awesome. Note that some are older emails to which I got responses from A earlier in the week and have since deleted:
In response to an email forwarding an email from A's teacher about kids misbehaving during indoor recess and my asking, "Can I assume you had nothing to do with this?"
A: "Absolutely not. I was helping. It was Christopher Hardee Ssshhhh."
A: "I don't GO to recess. I either go to Open Art, Read, Go to the library and read (which is only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, got to scrabble club, or go to peace club. NEVER, NEVER recess indoor or outdoor."
A: "Helping Ms.R clean up the classroom getting more suppplies, and other good things."
A: "I MISS YOU SO MUCH! School wasn't great. There was the incident. I'm not exited for ballet because we have Mr.Haun, and I hurt my knee really badly. I can't jump on it. Literally."
In response to an email about the Nats sending packages to kids who were sad about Tyler Clippard being traded:
M: "I KNOW THEY ARE THE BEST TEAM EVER"
In response to an email suggesting we go to an open house at Deal on Saturday:
A: "Ok! What day?"
M: "Sure! Sounds fun."
In response to a Paperless Post invite to Lily's birthday party on 2/14:
A: "Ok. What day? What's the theme?"
M: "Fun!"
In response to forwarded Tuesday Bulletin which mentions M's second place win in the spelling bee:
M: "Yay!"
In response to email from reading teacher about homework this week and my telling them to read it carefully:
A: "Yep!"
M: "I did, mommy. And I knew that stuff before I read it."
In response to an email from me with a photo of Broadway and the (lack of) snow on the ground:
