Tonight we went to an orientation meeting for Deal. The principal from Deal was there, as were a number of Lafayette alumni who are now 6th graders at Deal. It was a really interesting night, and we learned a lot about the school and what to expect next year. I was really impressed with the principal. The girls asked a few questions, specifically about clubs, about whether A's pants would be considered "leggings"(a no-no under the Deal dress code), whether you can get from class to class in the allotted 4 minutes, and more.

Tomorrow is "Deal Buddy Day", which means the girls go to Deal in the morning and will be matched up with a Lafayette alum whom they will shadow for a few hours in the morning before returning to Lafayette.

I can't wait to hear how it goes!
