Little N has been talking up a storm. He usually just repeats things that he hears, but he knows what he is saying and it is very cute. Here are some things he has said lately:
"Get out of the car!" (when we were almost home yesterday and he was SO sick of being in the car)
"Not working" (when a DVD isn't playing, or an app is on mute)
"One more time apple juice" (when he wants more juice)
"App, Mama" (when he wants to play with an app on my phone)
"La-ROCHE! REN-DON!" (cheering on the home team)
He is SO cute.

What a great surprise to have D,G,M,A, and N join Darrah, Jason, Sydney, Eden and us at the Lake House! Everyone pitched in for dinner. Darrah and Jason shucked and boiled the corn, Ron made the salad, I broiled wild salmon, and Gayle made a plum cobbler. Delicious! Then, Dan, M, A, Darrah, Sydney and I went to the 4th of July fireworks display at Lake Wallenpaupack. It was beautiful.
On Saturday, while Gayle went kayaking with A, Dan, N, Darrah and Eden played on the docks. At the same time, Jason and M had a water gun fight in the lake — while Ron roasted himself on the floating dock! We finished the day with another birthday party for N! He DOES love cake! In the evening, Dan, M, A, Darrah, Ron and I watched beautiful fireworks over our own lake. The reflections in the water were gorgeous.
Sunday started with Ron’s blueberry pancakes followed by a round of canoeing for everyone except for N and us. While everyone was enjoying the lake N, Ron and I played with lots of the toys in the basement playroom. It was great “quality” time playing with him — as well as with all the kids throughout the visit! It was a real pleasure watching M, A, N, Sydney and Eden all interact with one another!
