N Videos, Wendy Mass, and Coats of Arms

Exciting day for M! She got to meet her favorite author, Wendy Mass, after school at Child's Play. Daddy left work early to take her to see Wendy, who is  a college classmate of his. M got three books signed, including her favorite of all time – Candymakers, and heard Wendy talk about her new book. Daddy took photos, which I will post tomorrow night.

The girls had to make coats of arms for their state fair project. They had to pick four historic events from their state and write 3-5 sentences about each one and draw a picture of the event in a coat of arms for that state. A did: Harriet Beecher Stowe, the Maine Tea Party, Maine Becomes a State, and Shipbuilding in World War II. M did: Paleo Indians in West Virginia, John Brown and Harpers Ferry, West Virigina Becomes A State, and the Coal Industry in the Late 1800s. The coats of arms look great.

We got two extremely cute videos of N from tonight. In the first, he refuses to eat vegetables, and in the second, he imitates the girls. Here is the first – I will upload the second one tomorrow.
