It has been a few days since I posted. On Friday I posted Daddy's guest blog about the State Department. Saturday night I was too tired to post (I think I fell asleep on the couch) and last night I was up late for the Oscars.

First, I have to share three things that show that the girls are getting older and more independent.

1) They have been clamoring to walk home alone from Sunday School. Last weekend I let them walk in front of me while I watched them cross the street. This time, Daddy walked Lucky down and watched them walk home. They were very mad. They really want to do it themselves and they were upset that he was there to check up on them. Maybe next weekend we will let them do it by themselves, totally.

2) The last few days the girls have had long phone dates with their friend Anton and often their friend Luca. They play multi-player Sumdog, a math game. But at the same time they chat about all kinds of things. There have been conference calls and marathon sessions. Today they were on with the boys for 90 minutes. Yesterday it was longer. Cute.

3) Last night, the girls stayed up and watched the whole Oscars. (We already knew school was cancelled today due to snow). Once the show was over, they then tabulated all of the ballots. It was SO nice having them do it! And they loved doing it. Win-Win. (Win.)

Hoping that school will be on time tomorrow. It's cold and the snow is going to freeze over.
