New Year’s Eve!

Happy New Year's Eve!

Here is how we spent the last day of the year.

N and I had a playdate with Brooks and Lisa at Kidville:

And the girls saw their friends Jessie and Abby who were in for an extremely brief visit from Seattle:

And M & A celebrated with noisemakers tonight:

And we had a lovely impromptu visit from Sarah, John and Andrew tonight. We had cupcakes and sparkling cider. M wanted to try some of the traditions she learned about from her New Year's Eve report, so we stuck a coin into one of the cupcakes, which is from Greece. Sarah got that one and she will hopefully have good luck all year. We may have grapes at midnight too, which is from Spain. No breaking plates, which is what they do in Denmark.

Big news – N put two words together today for the first time! He said "Dada go" because Daddy was going out to run an errand.

It is 11PM and maybe I will stay awake til midnight.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
