Pas de Deux

Here is our weekend update.

We had a busy but not CRAZY weekend. Rehearsal x 2, book club x 1, Sunday School x 1, sleepover x 1. The sleepover was last night, with Natalie. They watched Monsters U. and then choreographed a very complex dance that they each remembered perfectly after only 30 minutes of rehearsing. And they even performed it for Natalie's mom again this morning. So cute.

Today's book at book club: "Year of the Book" by Andrea Cheng.

Here is a video of A dancing her soldier part (for part of it) and N mimicking her. It's soooo cute – and happens all the time around here.

Here are the girls' speeches for Class Representative. They would be mad if they knew I was posting them.

A: I would love to be representative of the class. I would love to help out with the winter dance too. I am also pretty responsible so I will attend every meeting. I usually am not absent. Even if I am sick. Last year I was an alternate so this year I hope to be representative. I also want to do all those fun things again so much. I will take all of your amazing ideas, and will tell it [sic] to the president or Mrs. Jensen and I will try to make it happen. I will try to be the best representative in the history of representatives. Please vote for me.  PS I was the one who brought the sodas and the pizza.

M: I am running for student council because I can help make your ideas happen. Here are some of my ideas: I will help make the winter dance fun; I will try my best to raise money to put objects in the student lounge, like bean bags; I will try to fix the lock in the girls' bathroom stall; and I will try to fix the majority of all the clocks in Lafayette. Most importantly, I will ask for your ideas, mention them to the student council, and, as I said earlier, I can help make them happen.
