Have I mentioned lately that the little boy loves books? He will sit on the floor and look at his books for long stretches of time. Today I took a shower and he sat on my bathroom floor the whole time just flipping through his books.

His favorites are any of the books with babies in them (Baby Faces, etc.), Dear Zoo, Goodnight Moon, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Where's Baby's Belly Button?, The Very Busy Spider, the Noisy Truck book, the Noisy Farm Animals book, the whole "That's Not My _____" series. We tried to get him into Yummy Yucky yesterday but he didn't take to it. He just loves to look at his favorites, over and over.

Nutcracker has kicked in with 2 rehearsals this weekend. Girls are in Group B Soldiers but may move into Group A, whatever that means.

Tomorrow is Columbus Day, so no school. Daddy is going to work in the AM and we may go to open gym at Kidville.

Speaking of reading, we had mother-daughter book club today for The Great Gilly Hopkins. M read it, but A did not. A lot of kids in the group didn't read it. We had a good discussion about it, despite the fact that it was a tough book that the kids didn't really like.
