Update from Cancun

We are on day 3 of our vacation in Cancun. It has been a lot of fun so far! The weather has been great – sunny and hot except for some thunderstorms last night and this morning that had cleared by the time we left the hotel. We're staying at a lovely Marriott, in a 1BR suite. The girls are sleeping on a fold-out couch, and N is sleeping in a crib in our oversize bathroom. Thankfully we also have a powder room! The hotel has a lot of interconnected pools, which is where we've spent most of our time.

Today I took the girls to a Wet n'Wild waterpark nearby, which was fun (though very hot). We enjoyed a few slides (mostly them), the wave pool, and the lazy river. N took such a long nap that by the time Daddy and N got there, we were about to leave. So we came back here and did more swimming at the hotel.

We've eaten at: a very mediocre American-style sports bar (desperate on night 1), a Mexican restaurant in a nearby shopping area, a crab house, and a Japanese restaurant (the latter was the best).

The girls are learning some Spanish: Como se llama? Dos toallas, por favor. Gracias. De nada.

We're getting lots of fun time with N, who is walking ALL OVER THE PLACE and even navigating down stairs by himself!

Tomorrow Daddy is taking each girl on an adventure: snorkeling with A, and parasailing (!) with M. M and N and I will go on a boat to where the snorkeling happens but will then head back to the hotel.

We haven't taken tons of pictures yet and I haven't uploaded
any (sorry Grandma!) but will do so when we're back or maybe tomorrow.
Oh okay, here are a few:
