Checkups

The girls had their annual checkups today. All looks good. They are still around the 25th percentile for height (around 50 inches; M is 1/4 inch taller than A) and they are now around 30th percentile for weight. This is an improvement over last year, where they were closer to 40/50th for weight. Dr. Fink was pleased with the trend. We had a nice long talk about being active and eating well, and getting enough sleep. He spent a lot of time with us and answered a lot of questions. We also talked about anxiety and playing math games in our heads and other fun topics.

Then they were off to camp.

They are doing a lot of reading too. A just finished Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret?, and M is reading her third summer reading book, The Penderwicks. I am in the midst of pulling together the Mother-Daughter book club list for next year and got a lot of books from the library tonight to check out how suitable they may be.

Little boy likes to pee during the night. A lot. He wakes up with wet diaper, wet PJs, wet sheet, almost every morning. So I have bought him a bunch of ocernight diapers, some pullups, and some larger diapers. Tonight he is wearing a larger diaper and a a pullup. Together. Poor boy can barely move his legs. Hopefully he will wake up dry.
