We had a lovely 4th of July today – just perfect.
This morning, A and I went to the Palisades 4th of July Parade. This is an old tradition of ours. M wanted a low-key day, so she didn't come, but A wanted to go, so we went just the two of us. A collected a good bit of candy and we saw the usuals: the mayor and all the people who want to be mayor, the Bolivian dancers, the Middle C music players, the horses, the Rockwoods BBQ truck, the Safeway truck, etc. etc. etc.
Then we came home, hung out in the hammock and read for a while, and then went over to Grampy and Nana's for swimming and dinner. Dinner was great and we had a lot of fun with them and Sarah and Emily.
Tonight, Daddy took the girls to see the fireworks from the Cathedral. Apparently it was too crowded for them to see anything. So that part was a bust.
Here are a bunch of photos from today!
