I am back from what was supposed to be a one night trip to Toronto but turned into a two night trip to Toronto, thanks to Air Canada. Glad to be back, minus the all nighter in the Toronto airport.

N finished the first week of Landon camp last week and liked it. Didn't LOVE it but liked it. On Friday night he had a sleepover here with Jonah from Camp Nebagamon. They had a good time, in spite of Jonah puking after dinner. (Poor Dad…). Jonah's dad said that he has a tendency to "puke and rally", which is what happened. He ended up recovering and staying, though they didn't get much sleep because Hobart woke them up kind of early (he slept between Jonah and N on the floor). They did spend 2 hours in the pool before dinner on a very hot day, which may have made Jonah feel sick.

A went to NY last week for 2 nights to help her friend Elson with a play she's directing. She enjoyed it but is a little anxious about NYC. She also had lunch with Conan O'Brien's wife.

Yesterday after I got back from Toronto, N and I drove to Philadelphia to take in a Cubs – Phillies game. We want to get to as many stadiums as we can and this is a close one! It was great! We loved the stadium, for many reasons. It was a super hot day but we sat in the shade and it wasn't bad at all. We sat in our seats for a while and then roamed around and checked out other vantage points, including the bullpen overlooks and the bleachers past center field. So many places to explore! We left t10 when the game was tied and by the time we got to my friend Mary's house half an hour later… it was still t10. The Philllies lost and I can't believe it but we were rooting for them by the end.

We also had fun at Mary's – N playedI MLB The Show with Mary's son and I caught up with Mary and Matt for a few hours. N and I were both very tired and were happy to go to sleep. We came home this AM.

Maddie is out to dinner with GDS people and worked TWO jobs today. A worked at Kenwood today too. Brutally hot out tonight. Grampy went to visit M at Busboys and Poets and reported back that she is doing a great job there.

N finally used his birthday gift certificate from Jonathan and Liz at Vat19 tonight (or at least half of it). Here is what he bought:
