There is a lot happening right now!
M returned from Italy last Thursday night. She had a great trip. Dad and I got to see her pics on the big screen on Sunday night, and she and Grandma Sandy also went through her photos and compared them to Grandma's videos from Italy from the last time she was there. They had a lot of fun. Overall I think M had a really good time in Rome, Positano and Florence.
Dad and I had a great time in Portland ME for the weekend. We did a lot of fun things, spending almost the whole time outside. Here is what we did: biked around some of the lighthouses, long hike to the top of Southern Maine's highest mountain, sea kayaking, delicious dinners, walking around town, a foot soak/neck massages, an 11PM visit to the LL Bean store, and a little window shopping in town. It was a perfect weekend – great weather, relaxing, far away and active. Flights went smoothly and M took great care of Hobart while we were away.
(That's the LL Bean store)
A was in Vermont for the weekend at Emma's house. She was only four hours from us! Now she is waiting to resume work at Kenwood.
We are waiting for N to come home tomorrow – we are very excited. We've gotten a few more letters from him, which I will include here. We also talked to his counselor, who said that he had a great time at camp and got along well with the other kids in the cabin. He did a lot of art/cooking/magic, some archery, some canoeing, and was generally active and happy. Such great news. We can't wait to hear more about it.
Ok here are N's recent letters:
I will transcribe another time.
And here are some pics of M, who graduated from the orthodontist this week:
Tonight we did something I've wanted to do for a few years: rented scooters and we went around the Mall. It was really fun! We wanted to do it before N got back from camp since he's too young to do it. It was a beautiful night and we started at Dad's office and went to the Capitol (close) and then to the Lincoln and back. We ended up at dinner at China Chilcano. Fun night!
