Here are some funny Alexaisms from recent weeks.

• She said, "Mommy, you're a pushover. And I mean that as a compliment."
• She said, "Piggy and Bunny are the best things that every happened to me."
• She tricked M into thinking that M had had Snuffy and Cousin Bunny confused all these years. (M was right.)
• After a Cinderella performance I didn't attend, I asked how the audience was. She said, "Tough crowd."
• She has rigged up a plastic shopping bag that she can lift up the stairway using her jump ropes. Tonight she took off her necklace and said she was going to put it in the "weightlifter". (Makes sense, though she meant dumbwaiter.)

She is also really cracking up her little brother, who at the age of almost-10 months has already realized that his sister is hilarious.

BTW, I am finding it very hard to find shoes that fit little N's fat feet. Robeez are too tight in the top. CUte little sandals that I bought at the consigment sale are never going to be wide enough for him, nor are the cute little Cole Haan's I got at Bloomingdales with store credit from a returned gift. I went to Payless and got him extra-wide sneakers, but they are too long on him right now. So we are left with one cute little pair of soft shoes called Pedipeds that I think we inherited from someone, and some cute little navy Crocs that I got at the sale. Neither is ideal for when he really starts walking. Will try for some larger Pedipeds, but they are soft-soled and won't be good for outside.

I wonder if this will be a challenge his whole life!
