Back in DC

We are home! We had a very relaxing 4 days in Shohola. Last time I posted was Monday, when we went to Have a Hoot. Tuesday was another relaxing day. We hung out in the morning and the girls and I went on two more training runs. They weren't as successful as Monday's – a fair amount of walking and stopping. But it was also REALLY cold. So it wasn't much fun.

After runs we came home and the girls and I played a few rounds of Password, which is a game I fondly remember playing with Grandma Gussie when I was a little girl. Daddy also played some pool with the girls as well. In the afternoon, we went into town (Milford) for lunch. We had Mexican food and then went to a candy store for a little treat – the girls chose wax soda bottles. Then we poked into the old library – soon to move to new digs – and went back home where N had a great nap. He had a late dinner, as we waited for… Grandma and Grandpa to return from their trip! Which they did around 7:45, bearing pizza for us to eat to break Passover. It was great to see them, after their 9- week trip away. We heard lots of stories about Thailand, Vietnam, Nepal and Bhutan. They also brought back some great t-shirts and other gifts for the girls – a bracelet for M and an eyeglasses case for A. It was really nice to see them and welcome them back to their beautiful home.

Today we drove back to DC after N's morning nap. All three kids were great in the car. N barely cried, despite being trapped in the car for almost 5 hours. We played Password in the car and also did the girls' birthday party invite list.

So now we're home! Lucky is here too so we're all reunited! Except for the yellow guppy, who didn't survive the days away. 🙁

I have a lot of pics that I will upload over the next few days. Here is the cousins' photo:
