A Bookish Day

We had a nice treat this morning – Tuvana came over to see N. She came in from NY because she needed an N fix, and she got to spend some time cuddling with him this morning and seeing how big he has gotten. It was great to see her – thanks for coming down!!!!

Then N had a very bookish day with me. First we went to Politics and Prose where I got a book signed by an author doing a reading there. He was pretty well behaved while we were there, except that she gave him a big smile and said how cute he is, and he immediately started crying. I also got him a new installment in his favorite series: That's Not My Bear.

After the bookstore we went to the DC library to return some books. Then we did a drive-by to return an audiobook at the MD library. Then we went to the B-CC used book sale. I plied him with a 6-ounce bottle and multiple handfuls of Cheerios, and he was very patient in the stroller. We were probably there for almost an hour and he didn't fuss a bit. I got 18 books for the girls (none of which they seem very excited about) and 2 for me.

N was a great companion today!

The girls, meanwhile, went to ballet class and then rehearsal. In the late afternoon while N was sleeping, we had a family reading hour (with a little napping thrown in) and then went to dinner at Potomac Pizza. After dinner, Daddy and N went home and the girls and I went to see our friend Aidan performing at Glen Echo Adventure Theatre in a musical called Once on This Island. It was fun to see our friend performing!

Now we are home and the girls are giving Daddy a massage (and then trying to charge him for it).

Rockin' Saturday night!
